Sulzer - How to digitally transform an industrial B2B business
15. Mar 2018 11:00 - 12:30
3.1 - Floor - Workshop 5
In this workshop invite founders and students to analyze and discuss how traditional B2B business and operating models are transformed by digital technologies and paradigms like the Internet of Things, Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, etc. The case study we will use is the engineering, manufacturing and maintenance of industrial pumps – from standard pumps for municipal water to large, highly engineered deep-sea pumps – and the related ecosystem. We will review the business models and how digital technologies can be applied to transform and improve various parts of the value chain. Participants will not only get insights into how a traditional industry is being digitally transformed, but will also get the opportunity to develop their own ideas and discuss them with industry experts.
